About Us
Welcome to Hawker and Palmer Wealth Management Ltd
We are Independent Financial Advisers located in Wrington, North Somerset. Our directors, Dave Hawker and Kieran Palmer, have combined experience of over 50 years in the financial services arena and offer financial advice to individuals, businesses, attorneys and trustees.
We offer all potential new clients an initial consultation at our expense. This allows us to get to know each other without any pressure. We understand that this initial meeting may not result in you requiring advice immediately. However, we are confident that you will value the experience and consider us when the time is right.
At the initial meeting, we will explain the range of our services and the associated costs. Once we have ascertained your needs, we can give you an indication of the work required, how long it will take and the associated cost. We will never start any chargeable work without your agreement.
We can provide a full financial review, which looks at every aspect of your financial circumstances, or we can focus our advice on specific areas if you prefer.
Our preference is to establish on-going relationships with our clients, so that we can continue to review your plans and adapt them to your changing circumstances. However, we can also provide ‘transactional’ advice in situations where no on-going service is necessary or required.
We believe that our fees are competitive. However, we have set minimum fee levels for our various initial and on-going services to cover the cost of our work. We will always tell you if we feel that our minimum fees could be prohibitive to you receiving a positive outcome from our services.
As a guide, for clients who require an on-going review service of their investments, we feel that the minimum portfolio value for which our on-going services provide fair value is £100,000. We will discuss this with you at the initial meeting.
We will never pressure you into any decision and will always give you time for reflection after each point of contact.
We provide advice in the following areas: -
- Investments
For regular savings or lump sum investments, we can recommend strategies to maximise tax efficiency, tailored to your individual requirements. We use comprehensive investment risk profiling to ensure your portfolio is not only diverse but continues to meet your risk tolerance throughout all stages of life. - Pensions
Whether you are ‘working and saving’ or ‘retired and spending’, we can explain your options, and advise you on the most appropriate strategy to meet your needs. If appropriate, we can review your existing personal pensions and compare them with alternative solutions that may be more suitable for you.
- Inheritance Tax Planning
Many families have an Inheritance Tax problem these days, sometimes solely due to the value of the family home. We can assess your potential liability and help you to reduce or mitigate this burden. - Life and Health Insurance
We can help protect you, your family or your business against the financial hardship of long-term illness or death. By researching the market, we ensure that you pay the most competitive premiums for the precise benefits that you require. - Care Fees Planning
Both our advisers are qualified to help you and/or your relatives plan for the eventuality of long-term care and advise you on the most appropriate funding methods.
We do not advise on Mortgages, Equity Release or Defined Benefit Pension Transfers. However, we have developed relationships with other professionals who are happy to advise our clients in these areas. All our associate firms have been researched thoroughly to ensure they meet our high standards in customer service and quality of advice.
Whether you wish to review your existing financial arrangements or start planning for the first time, we would be happy to discuss this with you.
Please call us on 01934 861222 or email info@hawkerandpalmer.com to arrange an initial discussion.
